Learning to Write
Writing is a form of communication and a way to express ideas. It's also a new way for me to work. I used to watch all kinds of people talk about how writing changed their lives, and it sparked my interest in writing, thinking, and storytelling.
When it came to writing, it was set up for me: writing to memorize things, finish homework assignments, and complete long essays. It was always associated with tasks I didn’t enjoy. So, as I got older, I avoided writing as much as possible. All those past experiences made me dislike writing; to me, it was about being perfect and writing to get the best grade possible—a B or higher.
However, as I started learning more about writing and its purpose, I realized I had been taught a narrow, one-sided approach. Watching creators and entrepreneurs helped me see that writing should be part of everything you do. It’s not about perfection; it’s about getting your ideas out and sharing information. I’ve come to understand that writing is a powerful way to communicate and leave a written record of information and stories. This new perspective has changed how I view writing and opened up new possibilities for me.
This approach has allowed me to enjoy writing again. It’s not about filling a word count, but about using just the right amount of words to convey my idea. Writing now helps me get all my thoughts out and has made me a better communicator because I write to clearly express my point. This shift in how I view writing has improved my thinking and motivated me to further develop my writing skills.
